Our annual Block Party was today. They shut down our block and set up tables in the street (right in front of our house). Everyone comes out for a potluck and music and games and neighborly fellowship. The party is actually still going strong out there...but we're boring and had to put the girls to bed and get ready for church tomorrow.
Sine the tables were sitting in front of our house all day, Audrey has been talking about it: "When we go to my party? We have cake there?" Over and over and over again, all day long! So she was excited when it was time to go and finally eat her cupcake.
Our neighbor Rosie got a hold of Isla and didn't want to give her back for a while!!
Audrey thought it was pretty fun to be able to play in the street. She kept asking, "No cars gonna hurt me?" I kept trying to emphasize that it was a special day, so she could play in the street today only!
This is Doc. He is the so-called "mayor" of our block and organizes the party each year.
