After she drew the picture, I asked if she wanted to write her name. This was the first time we tried her name. I wrote it on a piece of paper one letter/step at a time, and then she copied it on her own paper after each step. I was impressed!

Isla drew this picture of herself today. She has drawn pictures of people before, but not with a lot of purpose. I was really impressed with this one...especially the eyes, ears, and body.
After she drew the picture, I asked if she wanted to write her name. This was the first time we tried her name. I wrote it on a piece of paper one letter/step at a time, and then she copied it on her own paper after each step. I was impressed!
Isla may have had (and might still currently have) some slight delays with her gross motor skills and her speech, but her fine motor skills are definitely on target!
