It just happened to be Civil War Reenactment time while we were in Keokuk this weekend. So I insisted on dragging Daniel and Audrey down to the park to experience this exciting event. =) As a kid, I always remembered being so excited about this weekend. But being there as an adult today, it wasn't so exciting. Here are a few of the soldiers who were hanging out in the park today. Do you notice anything off here? I'm wondering how authentic this reenacting is, as I'm pretty sure there wouldn't be a Union soldier hanging out with the Confederates before battle. Unfortunately, we were unable to stay to watch the actual battle...but we did get some sarsaparilla and kettle corn!
