December 12: Journey to Bethlehem

Today, Audrey and I went on a field trip with her preschool class.  We went to a local church's live nativity called Journey to Bethlehem.  The church hosts local preschools for three days before their big public nativity begins this weekend.

It was a fun experience!  A wise man led us on a search for Baby Jesus.  He took us to see Herod, Elizabeth, a shepherd and the innkeeper before finding baby Jesus in the stable.  Then they took us through the marketplace to tell others the good news about Jesus.  At the end, they gave all the kids milk and cookies and a little treat bag. 

In typical Audrey fashion, Audrey was a little uncertain about the whole experience while we were doing it.  She was afraid we were going to see bad guys.   But when it was over, she was talking and laughing about all of it, and she told me she wanted to go back and do it again.
