November 3: Dollar Store trip

Today Audrey got a birthday card from Nana and Poppa with $4 in it.  I think this was the first time that she really had money of her own, and she didn't know what to do with it.  She wanted to play grocery store with us and use it to buy pretend food.

Then I explained to her that this was real money, and if she wanted, we could go to the dollar store and she could pick out whatever she wanted to buy.  Once she understood the concept, she was very, very excited!

With her $4, she decided to buy:  a wand and tiara, a microphone, a recorder, and a Tinker Bell puzzle.

By the way, everyone is healthy and well again around here.  Thank goodness!!!  We are counting down the days (again!) to Audrey's party.
