January 30: 60 degrees in January!

I took a little blogging hiatus this weekend. Not too much to write about. We had a fairly quiet weekend and didn't do much besides hang out at home.

Saturday night, I had book club. We discussed the book What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty. It's a good book about a woman who has amnesia and can't remember the last 10 years of her life. In our discussion, we brought pictures and discussed what we were doing 10 years ago. In January 2002, I had just found out that Daniel was interested in me, and I was trying to determine if I might be interested in him as well. Fast forward ten years...here we are with a family of our own!

After book club, a few of us went to go see The Artist. The Artist is a silent, black and white film about the end of the silent film era. It is most likely going to win the Academy Award for Best Picture this year. It really was a great movie. Even without the spoken word, it is entertaining and keeps your attention. You should go see it!

Moving on to the topic of the day: it was 60 degrees today...in January! We had to spend a little bit of time outside, and of course we had to take some pictures.

It was a bit windy, and Isla kept making this funny face every time the wind blew.Audrey insisted that we bring out the sidewalk chalk!
