The girls were looking pretty, all dressed up for church this morning!

This was the first time I let Audrey hold Isla all by herself. It was a little scary for me. I think it was a little scary for Isla too!

September 3

I found this adorable gift idea (via pinterest) and just had to make one for a friend who is waiting to have a baby any day now. I was really nervous that she would go into labor before I got the gift to her, but I was able to track her down this morning and deliver it. Now, it is safe for baby Havanna to come because Heather is ready with her Hospital Survival Kit!

I just thought this was so cute and a fun present for a mom-t0-be. Then I thought I would share it with you in case any of you wanted to steal this cute idea and give it to someone you know who is expecting a baby soon. You can find all the printables here...super easy and super cute!

In my kit, I wanted everything to color coordinate! So I included: twizzlers, Special K bars, gum, tic tacs, lip balm, hand sanitizer and slipper socks.

September 2

It's Friday Night Movie Night around here...which means movies and popcorn for everyone (except baby Isla)! Audrey watched Curious George, and now Daniel and I are watching The Lincoln Lawyer.My headache is gone today, and with the tooth pain gone as well, I am feeling like a new person! I've been feeling pretty bad for the past three weeks, so it is a huge relief to be back to normal.

Here is baby Isla's latest trick...reaching out and grabbing hold of the toys in her playgym.

September 1

I have no pictures and nothing of interest to say today.

Yesterday, I had an emergency root canal. Then a migraine started last night and continued today.

Today was just a really long day, and now (after eating a big bowl of chocolate ice cream) I am ready for my bed.

I'll be back tomorrow with a more cheerful post.

Isla is three months old today!

Audrey wanted to do a craft this morning while Isla was napping. So I decided to make this letter K week. I'm kind of uninspired by the letter K, so this may be the only activity we do for the week.

We made a King K. We even got crazy and pulled out the glitter, which was a big hit with Audrey.


This seemed like a very appropriate craft, as one of Audrey's favorite things to do right now is sing King of the Forest from the Wizard of Oz. She only sings the first line, and then my mom taught her to say, "I have courage" after that. It's so cute...I just love the way she says courage!

August 29

Last night, I opened up my nook to read before bed, and it looked like this:
See that white/black spot in the bottom left hand corner? That's definitely not supposed to be there. It cuts off the first 3-4 words of the last 8 lines of each page. Kind of annoying to read books that way.

I was pretty sad, because I really do love my nook. And I really can't afford to buy a new one right now.

Tonight we went to Barnes and Noble to see what they could do about it. The lady was really nice and right away she said, "oh yeah, that's a fairly common problem. We'll get you a new one."

So that was really easy. I should get my new nook in three business days. I'm so happy that it was such an easy (and free!) solution!
