December 6

I was supposed to go to Daniel's staff Christmas party tonight, but I had to stay home with Audrey because she was sick with a fever today. So we had a pajama party at home with Minnie Mouse instead and watched Mickey Saves Santa. It was only a 20 minute show, but Audrey liked it. She discovered Mickey Mouse recently, and she really likes him a lot! I'm excited to take her to Disney World in February.

As far as her fever goes, I'm hoping this is one of those weird 24 hour fevers/sicknesses that she seems to get fairly often. She was feeling pretty bad today I think, and even fell asleep on the couch for a little bit, which is completely unusual for her. Her fever was almost 102 late this afternoon, so we finally gave her some Tylenol and that brought it down quickly. It was still normal before bed tonight, so hopefully she will be feeling better in the morning.

Bonus Post: The Official Christmas Card

I finished our Christmas card tonight! I liked all of the possible options Shutterfly offered, but finally decided on this one for our official card:

December 5

Tonight was our annual young adult small group Christmas party. It was a fun time, and we actually ended up with some pretty nice gifts in our White Elephant exchange this year (no dead spiders though)! Audrey had a lot of fun, and she especially enjoyed eating a candy cane like Heather...until we had to take it away because she kept biting it and I was afraid she was going to choke.

December 4

We had a good day with Brennan, Janna, Lyndlee and Gavin. I wish I would have taken more pictures though!

We went to the mall and the kids got to play in the playland.

They also took a ride on the train. Audrey looks a bit sad in this picture, but I really think she likes riding the train.
This is Lyndlee and Audrey watching Wonder Pets tonight. Lyndlee was laying on her stomach, and Audrey wanted to lay on her "pummy" too.
And then, Audrey randomly threw up while we were playing tonight. I'm not sure what the deal is. She was acting perfectly fine, then she threw up all over the place. And then she acted like she didn't feel well for about an hour, and then she acted perfectly fine again before we put her to bed. So I don't know if she is sick or if she just ate something that upset her stomach or what. But I really hope she is not sick. She was sick with a throw up/upset stomach bug about 2 weeks ago, and it doesn't seem fair for her to be sick again. We'll see how the night goes and what she does in the morning!

December 3

We have had a busy day today!

My dad, who recently moved to Florida, was in the area. So we headed to my grandma's house in Quincy to celebrate an early Christmas with them. Audrey loved opening her presents and playing with her new toys!

After we got home from Quincy, we headed to Cael's third birthday party! He had a fun airplane party, with an awesome airplane cake.
And now we our friends, the Conklins, are here for the weekend, so I'm sure I will have some fun pictures of our visit with them tomorrow night!

December 2

This isn't technically a picture, but it has become a bit of a tradition around here. I don't know why, but these silly Elf Yourself videos crack me up. In the past, I've included Maggie in our family video, but I didn't feel like adding her this year. Poor dog, she is really not loved anymore.

The video is supposed to appear below, but I can't get it to work right now...you can view it by clicking this link:

December 1

Happy December! I was excited to start some Christmas traditions today. I got a Christmas countdown kit from Stampin Up this year that came with cute little takeout boxes for candy. So each day in December, we get to open a box and enjoy a treat! Audrey was obviously very excited about finding M&M's in the box.

I'll share some more Shelton family Christmas traditions throughout the month!
